Before joining an adventure, or starting your own, please follow the guides below:
-Please follow all standard forum rules.
-Stay in character! (Use (ooc:)or double-parenthesis (()) to say anything out of character, but use this sparingly!)
-Use your best grammar, and don't use smilies! Pretend you're writing a novel; professional authors don't litter pages with emoticons, use fragmentary sentences, or use shorthand such as "lol." Do your best! Also, please do not write a single sentence as your full post. This makes the story less interesting to follow, and makes the player going after you have a more difficult time responding with anything substantial.
-If you're joining a roleplay session, it is up to the creator whether or not you'll be accepted to play. Admins cannot force you into a game, or force a creator to allow you in.
-You may be in as many games at once as you'd like, however, any rupee or level earnings won't be calculated until every game you are in has reached an appropriate break point. Admins may discuss with game owners to help determine a good time to distribute rewards. This helps keep games balanced. This includes level-ups gained by post count, which will all be distributed at a break point at once, regardless of the amount earned in any session.
-You may ONLY use special skills that your forum character has when roleplaying. However, any standard actions such as walking, talking, running, climbing, digging, etc may be used by anyone from the beginning.
Note: Some exceptions may be made by game owners.
-Please do not metagame! Again, I emphasize "staying in character," and your character should not always know the information you as a player knows, unless there is a legitimately roleplayed reason for the character to know it. Do not abuse your character's inherent traits to recover crucial information that either makes the roleplay too "easy" for you, or that goes against another player's wishes!
*A Note on Heals:
You may NOT use a healing ability outside of combat. It is too difficult to keep track of a cooldown system in roleplay, and players are not allowed to spam-heal allies to full health outside of combat. Roleplay-related "healing breaks" are fine in PbPs and other GMed game modes, but healing outside of combat without the use of items is prohibited in dungeon crawls and other similar battle-based modes.
If you have any further questions, please post here.
