It's that time again! We have quite a few shiny new things in store. Let's begin!
DoTs:
DoTs now have different severities, which influence the amount of derived damage that they take from a player's stats. This is something that has been mechanically implemented for a long while now, but now each tier has a corresponding name!
Standard: 50% of stat.
Severe: 70% of stat.
Deadly: 100% of stat.
Lethal: >100% of stat.
Adaptive Damage:
Certain skills state that they deal either Attack or Competency damage - whichever is the higher stat for the player using them. For the sake of streamlining, this type of damage will now be known as "Adaptive Damage."
Defending:
Players may no longer Defend while healing or buffing, but may still Defend while taunting and performing other non-offensive actions.
Critical Failure:
Critical Failure has been updated to clarify that a player cannot critically fail if they have at or above 100% accuracy, unless they have an increased Critical Failure chance.
Sneak Attacks have been renamed to Sneakstrikes to be in line with canon naming conventions. Their effect remains unchanged.
Intercept:
Players may attempt to Intercept an attack made against an ally as a Player Action. If the player succeeds in Intercepting, they take the effects of the intercepted skill in place of their ally. If their ally is not targeted over the Round they attempt to Intercept during, they instead make a delayed basic attack. For more details, please see the Player Actions thread.
The following new Status Conditions have been added:
Severe Wounds: Prevents healing, resets all currently-active DoTs, and increases incoming damage by 20%.
Lethargy: Adds an additional Round to all currently-active cooldowns.
The following status conditions have been adjusted:
Distract: Now has a 60% chance of causing the distractor to be attacked, or a 40% chance of not attacking at all. This is down from a 50/50%, and the accuracy penalty has been removed.
The Taunting Critical and Disorienting Critical Feats have been removed. We felt these two Feats were overly strong, and while we are still considering replacements, we feel a replacement is unnecessary at the present time.
Balanced Footing: This has been reworded to give Tenacity. The effect is unchanged.
Alert: Now clarifies that the check is against Sneakstrikes and Surprise attacks, but does not affect checks made against Stealthed enemies.
Stability: Has been reworded to state that it gives Tenacity, like its prerequisite, Balanced Footing.
Hexer: For debuffs with damage components, Hexer now only reduces the cooldown by 1/2 Round, instead of a full Round. If a player has both Hexer and Buffer and uses a skill that is tagged as both a buff and a debuff, the cooldown reduction does not stack from both Feats.
Buffer: For buffs with damage components, Buffer now only reduces the cooldown by 1/2 Round, instead of a full Round.
Illusory Pain: Now deals 50% of the user's unmodified damage, instead of 40% modifiable damage.
User-Specific:
Rotatz: Now has the G(erudo)-Man Feat, which allows him to make a Surprise Attack as his first action upon entering combat, regardless of when he enters.
User-Specific:
SICARII:
The Hylian:
Arsonist: Now lists its damage as "Deadly Burn," rather than "100% of Attack as a burn."
Stalk: The Hylian now inflicts Severe Wounds on a target when succeeding in attacking out of Stealth, instead of Crippling. Instead, upon being Detected, he now Cripples instead of Sunders. The wording has been clarified to note that the Hylian does not deal damage on his Cripple check if he is Detected out of Stealth. The cooldown has been increased to 6 Rounds up from 5.
Arcane Duelist:
Arcane Blade: Is now listed as a basic attack replacer, and can no longer be used in conjunction with skills, spells, or non-basic attack replacer items or feats.
Resolute Duelist:
The following Skills have been added:
Tier 3:
Piercing Jabs
Stop Cut
Tier 3.5:
En Garde!
Enervating Assault
Tier 4:
Resolute Riposte
Feint-Interchange
Tier 4.5:

Dire Flunge

The "Advanced Combat Information" thread has been renamed to "Player Actions" for clarity.
The First Aid check is now properly displayed in the Player Actions thread.
That's all for now!
