Ahoy, pirates! Please view our selection of skills below. If you'd like to train in one of these skills, post below in order to pay their rupee cost. Only skills between levels 1-19 are available here. Starting at level 20, you must choose a Pirate Subclass. Starting Skill:
Pirate's Fortune: Pirates have a keen sense for treasure. Whenever a pirate loots rupees, they loot 20% additional rupees. In addition, the Pirate may critically succeed actions on a 1-3 roll. This effect stacks with the Lucky feat, allowing a Pirate to critically succeed on a 1-5 instead. When calculating critical strike, this bonus is additive with crit chance (ie without Lucky, this acts as +3% crit chance. With Lucky, this acts as +5% crit chance). This effect is passive. Tier 1Levels 1-4Skill: Dirty Fighting: The Pirate is notorious for not fighting fair, granting them a chance to Concuss enemies for 1 round equal to 20% of their Attack stat, capping out at 40% bonus before mods on all damaging actions. In addition, the Pirate may reroll a failed Sneak or Surprise attack once per fight. Rupee Cost: 100 Skill: Cheap Shot: A Pirate delivers an unsportsmanlike hit to an enemy, dealing 1.2x the Pirate's Attack damage to the target, and lowering the target's Attack and Defense by 40% for 2 rounds. 6 round cooldown. Rupee Cost: 100 Levels 5-9Skill: Rummy: The Pirate is quite accustomed to fighting while inebriated, halving any penalties from Tripping, Staggering, Dazing, Confusing, or Sickening passively, and consuming any drinks grants the pirate a 30% damage bonus and +5% evasion for 3 rounds. The Pirate may additionally partake in his/her own flask, granting the drinking bonus to them outright on their next turn. 5 round cooldown between using his/her own flask. Rupee Cost: 150 Skill: Blame: A Pirate puts the blame on a target ally for their crimes, causing their target to have double the chance to be the enemy's target on the enemy's next turn, and preventing the Pirate from being targeted on the enemy's next turn. 4 round cooldown. In addition, the Pirate automatically rerolls a targeting check on them, granting them a 50% chance to avoid confirming the target. If they avoid target confirmation in this way, they may not avoid another targeting check for 3 rounds. Rupee Cost: 150 Tier 2Levels 10-14Skill: Pirate's Charm: A Pirate attempts to Charm an enemy, performing a special Attack : Comp check against the target with a +15% chance of success. If the charm succeeds, at the end of the enemy's turn, the Pirate delivers a cheap blow while its guard is down (even if it is not the Pirate's turn). This attack has 20% increased accuracy, and deals 1.3x the Pirate's Attack damage. 6 round cooldown. Rupee Cost: 200 Skill: Shank: A Pirate shanks an enemy, dealing standard damage and Crippling them for 2 rounds. If this attack is used on a target under the effects of Crowd Control, this attack has 10% bonus critical chance and causes the target to Bleed automatically. 5 round cooldown. Rupee Cost: 200 Levels 15-19Skill: Devious Retaliation: Whenever a Pirate is placed under the effect of any crowd control that does not prevent movement (Stun, Immobilize, Freeze, Mesmerize, Sleep, Root) or Silence, the Pirate may perform a special Attack : Comp check in order to counterattack the target that placed the effects on him/her. If successful, the Pirate deals their Attack stat as unmodified damage back to the target. This effect is passive, and may occur at any time, even if it is not the Pirate's turn. Rupee Cost: 250 Skill: Briny Fighter: A Pirate is the master of both land and sea, able to survive the harsh waters better than any other class. Pirates passively gain 30% resistance to Water attacks, and deal 15% more damage when using Water-based attacks. Additionally, Pirates take none of the negative effects of being Soaked or Drenched, but still benefit from the positive effects. In addition, a Pirate may activate their aqueous training, converting all of his/her damage into water damage for 3 rounds and granting them a 40% chance to Soak a target for 2 Rounds. If the Pirate lands any critical strikes alongside a successful Soak, the Soak instead becomes a Drench for the same duration. 6 round cooldown after the active ends. Activating this skill does not take up a full-round action, and the Pirate may still act normally upon its activation. Rupee Cost: 250
