ENGINEER
Perhaps the most technologically-proficient class, engineers are wonderful at modifying and understanding existing and ancient tech, as well as creating their own. With all sorts of gadgets at their disposal, engineers can offer a broad range of benefits to a party.
Base Class Information Utilizing technology in order to overcome the physical limitations of man, Engineers have come up with all sorts of ways to effectively resolve even the most basic of issues. Some people may consider their inventions to be unnecessary or downright-perilous, but those people would be wrong; who doesn't need an automated turret friend? Engineers require a brilliant mind and sharp senses in order to maintain their machines safely and effectively, utilizing a high Competency stat. For those Engineers looking more to focus on the potent fun of explosives, however, investing in Attack may also prove to be vital to success.
Subclass Information
Roboticist: The Roboticist specializes in commanding a single machine: his/her Bodyguard Droid. This mechanical marvel specializes in defending both the Roboticist and his/her allies, nearly all of the Roboticist's kit coming from the command of this entity. Because of the Bodyguard's specialty in... guarding bodies, Roboticist is perhaps the best Defensive option for an Engineer. Tinkerer: The Tinkerer is the master of ancient tech, using his/her technological wits to create all sorts of contraptions and harness ancient mechanisms. With a wide variety of tools at his/her disposal, the Tinkerer is the pinnacle of Utility. Demolitionist: Mastering explosives with little regard for self-preservation or the safety of others, the Demolitionist is wholly adept at thorough destruction. Blasting through enemy defenses with ease, the Demolitionist packs a powerful punch that would be welcomed in any adventuring party - assuming said party doesn't mind the very likely possibility of bombs detonating in their face. As experts in explosive equipment, the Demolitionist is always prepared to go on the Offensive.
Starting Stats & Skill
Attack: +1 Defense: +0 Competency: +5 Starting Skill:Construct Contraption: At the beginning of a session, an Engineer may craft a single item that they may use for the remainder of the session. An Engineer may not create another item over the course of the session, but the item has infinite uses over its duration. These special items do not take up an item slot. These items may additionally not be given to allies. The craftable items are as follows: Inventor's Goggles: +5% acc, +10% perception. Experimental Boots: Increases grid movement speed by 2. Additionally makes the Engineer immune to Slows, and allows him/her to perform a Competency Check to resist any successful Trip, Root, Knock Down/Back/Pull, or Immobilize effects placed on them. Innovator's Wrench: The Engineer attempts to strike a target with their wrench, dealing standard Competency damage and Concussing the target for 1 Round. 3 Round cooldown. Alternatively, the wrench may be used to enhance the armor on a mechanical ally, increasing the ally's Defense by 50% of the Engineer's Competency as a flat number for 2 rounds. 4 Round cooldown. These cooldowns are independent of each other (ie using one skill does not lock the player out of using the second).
