It has come to my attention that, with such a small community, many of the initial rules regarding Boss / Miniboss timers and rules for participation reward tiers have been forced to shift. With that, here is a list of the new guidelines we will be using for the time being. Please note that these are guidelines, and as such are subject to GM discretion, and by extension may not be followed verbatim.
Timers: As of now, there are no timers for Bosses or Minibosses. When activity returns to normal flow, a 2 week timer will likely be installed for Minibosses, while a 3 week timer may be installed for Bosses. For now, don't worry about this at all.
Participation: Participation rewards are getting a massive overhaul. In order to encourage higher participation and not an obvious lax in participation after meeting the old minimum, Participation is now universal, and based on a rough percentile system of the overall round duration of a fight. In addition, there is now "participation decay" for inactive players, which will be discussed further down.
Maximum Participation: In order to attain the highest possible reward in a fight, the player must participate in at least 20% of the total rounds in a single fight. IE, if a fight lasts 50 rounds, a player must post in at least 10 rounds to gain full participation.
Medium Participation: To achieve medium participation, a player must participate in between 10-19% of the total rounds in a single fight.
Low Participation: For low participation, a player must participate in between 5-10% of the total rounds in a single fight. Anybody who has posted in less than 5% of the total rounds may or may not receive any rewards at all, per GM discretion.
Participation Decay: An even newer feature to the participation system is participation decay. Participation decay occurs if a player does not post within a certain window. If a player does not post at all within two days, they are dropped a participation tier. Once they begin to post again, they are raised back to the tier they were dropped down from. Players are also dropped a participation tier if they do not post at least once within 6 rounds.
Remember: With such a small community, your contribution really counts! Please remember to stay active when you can, but the GMs are not out to punish you.
Happy playing!
